Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

While strengthening the fourteen (!!) muscles of the pelvic floor is important, it’s only one piece of the complex puzzle. We take a holistic approach to pelvic floor PT by addressing how the pelvic floor functions as a system within the entire body. We work with you to assess your unique condition and develop a personalized treatment plan that may include internal trigger point release, breathing/postural restoration, and strength exercises to restore optimal pelvic function. We strive to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.

It’s more than just kegels!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • → Each patient’s experience is different based on their own history and current injury. However, a typical pelvic floor session would begin with a recap of how things are going, followed by internal assessment / treatment of the pelvic floor, then an individualized exercise program. We conclude every session thoroughly discussing your homework – what exercises to do at home, any lifestyle changes we recommend– and answer any questions you may have.

  • → We do! We take out-of-network insurance benefits– and we submit all of the paperwork for you. If you are wondering what this would mean for pricing, feel free to email a photo of your insurance card and we will reach out to you with specific details.

→ We also offer self-pay rates of $200 for initial evaluations and $175 for follow-up appointments. Many patients choose to utilize their HSA/ FSA benefits for physical therapy.

→ Some of our patients prefer to pay self-pay rates and submit a SuperBill independently, which we also offer.

  • → No – In New York and New Jersey, you can directly see a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral, thanks to direct access laws. Some insurance plans may still require a referral for reimbursement, but we will let you know for sure once we check your insurance benefits.

  • → This depends on your specific injury, schedule, and goals. We typically see patients 1x/week, as we pride ourselves on our quality of care. Some of our pre-hab athletes even come in exclusively for monthly tune-ups. We can discuss further following your initial evaluation.
